FAQs

Medical Dry Film — Frequently Asked Questions

Real questions from radiology departments and distributors in the past 12 months.

All three are direct thermal dry films, but emulsion is tuned for different modalities. DR film prioritizes sharp bone/chest contrast (Dmax ≥ 3.5). CT film handles multi-frame grid printing with smoother grayscale. MRI film has higher Dmax (≥ 3.7) for deep blacks needed in brain/spine images. Most clinics use Blue Base Universal as a one-SKU solution for all three.
Yes — our films are validated on all current and most legacy thermal imagers from Fuji, Agfa, Codonics, Carestream, Konica Minolta, Sony and Mitsubishi. Send us your printer brand, model number and the film size you currently use; we will confirm the exact film grade and send a sample box if you want to test before ordering.
MOQ: 100 boxes (mixed sizes allowed). Lead time: 7 days from stock for popular sizes (8×10, 10×12, 14×17), 15–20 days for production runs and 20 days for OEM packaging.
Store in original sealed bag at 10–25 °C and 30–60% relative humidity, away from direct sunlight, X-ray sources and chemical fumes. Shelf life is 36 months from production date when sealed. After opening, use within 6 months.
